Les Bluffeurs Bulletin Information
Les Bluffeurs Wine Club - Information Notes – SUMMER 2026
Hello All,
I hope you are all well as we approach the May bank holiday, which prompts me to start the planning for the SUMMER period and open the SUMMER wine run to allow you all stock up for the forthcoming summer season. How time flies, Les Bluffeurs Wine Club web site is now open for the SUMMER wine run.
This run will cover the period from Mid-June through to the early September 2026. I intend to have a supply delivered on/by Saturday 13st June in Dublin so you can all be stocked in time for the summer and the BBQ and Rose season. I hope that those of you who took part in the last delivery in March enjoyed the wines and thank you all for your continued support. If you wish to add friends or have your name removed from the mailing list, just let me know. My email address is: caulfieldeamon@gmail.com
As you are all aware the club depends on members ‘spreading the word’ (so important) about Les Bluffeurs, both wine quality and value. Simply pass on the information or indeed my contact details and the club online website (www.lesbluffeursclub.com). Many of you have and I thank you.
The [revamped] site is now open for orders, and will close on Thursday 14th May (pm) with an estimated distribution commencement date of Saturday 13st June 2026
Your wines are unique to the club and only available with Les Bluffeurs in Ireland. Price increases have been kept to a minimum again for this run and in line with direct increases in wine costs, transportation costs and carbon taxes. Please do not delay in placing your order as the order window will have to close on Thursday 14th May (pm) to ensure delivery on time.
WEBSITE NEWS
I have had to upgrade the website which has served us very well for many years (thank you Harry) due to technical issues and a platform upgrade requirement. I took the opportunity to initiate a few changes to the website layout and visuals. All your details and information have been transferred however you will have to reset your password to log in to your account, and you should have no difficulty in navigating the site thereafter; please let me know if you do. If/when you place an order your order receipt will be emailed as usual but may go into your spam folder initially, please check that folder once you order. You will notice a few changes including the introduction of a separate section for Mixed Cases and Popular Selections. Harry’s Wine Cellar section has served us all very well for many years and remains at the forefront of the site and Wines by Vineyard section is located immediately beside it. This Information Note is also viewable under Les Bluffeurs Bulletin Information and there is also a new section for Wine News by Vineyard which will evolve as wine time does. There is a new section Popular Selections which will give you all a rough guide to what is popular in the club at each wine run. Mixed cases have been given a standalone section, and you can see the merit of that. Bottles are clearly identifiable across all sections including the mixed selections.

Portugal
There are now 4 wines from SOITO wines in the DAO region with two under the TALEIGA label, Tinto/red (72), and Branco/white (73), both with great tasting feedback. The Tinto/red (2019) has notes of ripe red fruits, revealing a soft and pleasant body, finesse in its flavour and a long finish. The Branco/white (2023) has a balanced freshness, volume and structure. Very elegant with a long and persistent after taste. The OTIOS Red (Vinho Tinto) Reserva 2018 (74) has tasted very well with many of you and is a very well-structured balanced wine with a long velvet finish aged in French Oak for 6 months and a complex aroma of plums, red fruits and spices. Really very tasty! New is the white SOITO Otios Reserva Branco (75) as mentioned above.
The objective of Les Bluffeurs Wine Club is to provide you with affordable wines that you enjoy.
How it Works
There is no entry fee to Les Bluffeurs Wine Club, you simply buy in with a minimum order. The (good) price of all the wines is close to the Cave price. The wine you are buying is inclusive of all overheads and costs.
You must order and pay in advance for a minimum of 12 bottles in multiples of 6 (except for Arlequin) by the list closing date/on order. Delivery is six to seven weeks from the issue of this wine list…hence the target date of the 13th of June in Dublin, with the usual arrangements for Westport, Galway, Dundalk and Cork. Any wine you do not like, I will exchange if possible, stock dependent, immediately or at the next wine run.
New Members
This is an exercise in co-operative buying; the strength is in the numbers and maximizing the pallet spaces available on each shipment – maintaining the price is dependent on your involvement and full pallets.
I hold an import and wholesale licence, and all duties and VAT are paid to the Revenue Commissioners prior to the wine being shipped from Portugal, France and Spain. The wines are inspected by revenue on arrival.
Again, to emphasise, I will buy back anything that you do not like - or make a suitable swop if I can offer one. Also - I remind all - if there are any issues/complaints - please let me know so I can try to rectify the matter.
If you want any advice or guidance, just give me a buzz on 085 2012971 at any time.

Transportation
The shipping company is transporting our wines on pallets by sea direct from Portugal, France and Spain to Dublin. Capacity and human error are our movement enemies and add the threat of bad weather and public holidays. Hopefully, we won’t have any man made or weather delays, and the ships will have fair wind.
